Tesla is sending out a new update to its users, FSD (Full Self-Driving) v12.5.1. This update combines city and highway driving features to make the driving experience more natural and smooth. One of the most important new features is the ability for vehicles to change lanes earlier and more naturally. This will provide drivers with a more seamless journey experience. Here are the details…
Earlier and Natural Lane Changing: Tesla FSD v12.5.1 Update Released
Another major feature of this update is the addition of support for the Cybertruck model. Elon Musk announced that this version will be the first to use FSD on the Cybertruck. Additionally, drivers can now wear sunglasses while FSD assistance is enabled. In previous versions, a warning was given to ensure the driver’s attention was maintained, but this restriction has now been removed.
The Actual Smart Summon feature, which comes with the Tesla FSD v12.5.1 update, operates as an independent code from FSD but is offered together. This feature allows users to summon their cars remotely and have them navigate out of parking spots and come to them. This new capability showcases how far Tesla’s autonomous driving technology has advanced.
The update will first be sent to Model Y vehicles with HW4 hardware. Vehicles with HW3 hardware will receive this update later. Elon Musk stated that city and highway driving software are fully integrated in this version. He also added that this version will significantly reduce the number of interventions per mile.
