Tesla to hire vehicle operators to test its electric cars
Tesla’s new job openings for the US and Canada are making the rounds on social media. According to the electric car giant’s job description, the seasonal workers will be tasked with collecting data that will allow the company to track the performance of its vehicles.
Although Tesla has hired test drivers in the past, the job postings in many regions suggest that the number of tests will increase. These people will drive Teslas for three months, working both day and night to test the vehicles in different traffic conditions.
On the other hand, the FSD (Full Self-Driving) feature will also be discussed during these drives. Conditions that might be encountered in traffic will be tested, including difficult bends and left-right turns. This data is collected by the driver at the end of the day.
Tesla does not require any diploma or certification for this job. Anyone who has been actively driving for the last two years and has held a driving licence for at least four years can apply. It is also reported that wages will start at a minimum of $18 per hour, although they vary by state.
