Reversing camera problem in Tesla Cybertrucks
Tesla took action against the bug affecting 27,185 Cybertruck models. In the latest warning sent to users, it was stated that a problem with the reversing camera could lead to an accident. According to the recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the reversing camera image is delayed when the vehicle is put into reverse.
When the reversing camera is delayed or does not show what is happening at all, it increases the risk of an accident. The failure to provide a clear reversing image is a violation of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard, NHTSA said.
Tesla announced that it has developed a software update to fix the problem. Affected Cybertruck owners will be able to install the software update for free. Recall notices are expected to be distributed in the coming days and the update is expected to be made available.
Earlier, a Cybertruck Owners Club member noted that his three-month-old Cybertruck has only 10,061 kilometers on the clock, but is already facing the need for tire replacement. The user claims that the wear on the tires could be a manufacturing defect.
