Detroit: Become Human is coming true: Tesla to start building humanoid robots next year

Ana sayfa / News

Elon Musk announced that Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer of which he is CEO, will start producing humanoid robots starting next year. Musk stated that these robots will be primarily for Tesla’s own use and that mass production will begin for other companies in 2026.

“Tesla will have really useful humanoid robots in low production for internal use for next year, and hopefully in 2026 we will move to high production for other companies,” Elon Musk said on social media platform X. It was previously announced that these robots, called Optimus, will be ready in Tesla factories by the end of this year.

Other companies such as Honda and Boston Dynamics continue to develop humanoid robots. However, Tesla’s advances in this field aim to offer more accessible and affordable solutions, as Musk stated. Musk predicts that the robots will cost less than 20,000 dollars each (approximately 660 thousand TL at the current exchange rate) once they enter mass production.

Tesla’s shares closed the trading volume on Wall Street with an increase of more than 5% the other day. Musk’s companies have recently been focusing on technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and robots. This is shaping Tesla’s strategy for the future at a time when demand for electric vehicles is slowing.

Tesla Megapack will provide electricity to 170 thousand households!

Construction of a giant energy storage project has started in France, and electricity will be provided to 170 thousand households for two hours with the Tesla Megapack system.

You may remember the story in Detroit: Become Human where humanoid robots want to have the same rights as humans; it seems like we are getting closer and closer to that future. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
