Tesla, led by Elon Musk, which has become one of the most valuable companies in the world, has now come into the spotlight regarding its employees’ salaries. According to leaks, the company gave a significant raise to its employees in the United States last month. As per the reports, a worker at a Tesla factory earns between $22 to $39 per hour.
Salaries of Tesla personnel vary
It’s noted that the salaries of the company’s personnel in America vary from state to state. For example, someone working in Nevada receives the lowest wage, while those in California receive the highest. It’s stated that this difference is based on the tax policies and cost of living in the respective states.
Additionally, it’s known that Tesla workers are divided into 7 different levels. As the level increases, the hourly wages also increase. For instance, a level 1 worker at the Fremont factory earns $25.25 per hour, while a level 7 worker earns $35.50. It’s believed that this level difference incentivizes workers to advance to higher levels and enhances production efficiency. If a worker performs well, they can move up a level every 6 months. Among the company’s top-level executives, there are 2 different tiers as well.
Moreover, there’s a bonus system called Cyber Wallet, determined based on employee performance. This bonus is paid out every 6 months, and every employee is eligible for it. It’s also reported that during periods when the company announces significant profits and the shares increase in value, additional payments are made to employees.
