Manor Lords, a medieval city-building game, broke Steam over the weekend. The game, which has been on the agenda of the gaming world for a while, exceeded 1 million sales in just one day. So what does Manor Lords promise?
Manor Lords sales at the top of Steam
The city-building game developed by Greg Styczeń went into early access on Steam on April 26th. In this short period of time, it has been a remarkable success. According to the game’s publisher Hooded Horse, sales exceeded 1 million copies in the first day alone.
Set in the Middle Ages, the game topped Steam’s sales charts immediately after its release last Friday. It’s also proved to be one of the store’s standouts, reaching over 170,000 concurrent players as of yesterday.
In addition to Steam, Manor Lords is currently leading sales on the Epic Games Store. It remains number one on GOG, the game’s original release platform.
With more than 3 million people having wishlisted the game on Steam prior to release, it’s no surprise that the game has been in high demand. Although the original price is $19.99 on Steam, it will be sold for $14.99 with a 25 percent discount for the first few weeks.
Greg Styczeń, the developer of Manor Lords, said that the console versions will follow this success. In a statement, he said that Hooded Horse will share an Xbox version “as soon as possible”.
