Microsoft introduced the Windows 11 operating system on October 5, 2021. Since then, the operating system has received numerous small and large updates and has been progressing. However, despite all the improvements, the new operating system has not yet reached the expected user count.

Windows 10 still remains the most widely used operating system

Despite approximately 2 years since its introduction, Windows 11 has not been able to reach the desired number of users. Additionally, the operating system experienced a decrease in user count last month. According to Statcounter’s May figures, Windows 11 lost users.

According to Statcounter’s May figures, Windows 11 dropped to a usage rate of 22.95% among other Windows versions. Last month, Windows 11 had a 23.11% share. Although this decline may not seem significant, it has puzzled many since the user count for Windows 11 was expected to increase.

You can use Bing Chat in Google Chrome, Safari, Opera

Microsoft is expanding Bing Chat to Safari and Chrome. It also improves features such as daily chat limit, image rendering.

On the other hand, Windows 11‘s user rate saw a slight increase to 71.9%. Despite approximately two years since its release, Windows 10 continues to be the most widely used Microsoft operating system.

Looking at the company’s other systems, Windows 7 has a 3.6% share. Windows 8, which has been a disappointment for many users, remains at a usage rate of 1.09%. Surprisingly, there are still users with a 0.32% share using Windows XP.

Microsoft’s latest operating system has made slow progress so far. The decrease in usage rate for Windows 11, which has been unable to reach the desired user numbers, may be a cause for concern for the company.
