Nubia announced that it will launch its affordable Nubia Flip 5G foldable phone on April 9.The foldable device, which was first introduced in the European market at MWC 2024, will be available in China.
Nubia Flip 5G to be announced on April 9
The Nubia Flip 5G was first showcased at MWC in February, but the company did not announce launch details. According to the official statement from Nubia, it will go on sale at a launch event on April 9.
According to certifications and rumors, the Nubia Flip 5G is expected to be a rebranded version of the ZTE Libero Flip, which was introduced in Japan earlier this year for around $415. At MWC 2024, the device was also rumored to be only $599.
Key features of the Nubia Flip 5G include a 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED display with 1180×2790 resolution. On the flip side, we are greeted by a sleek and rounded 1.43-inch display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the device has 12GB RAM/512GB storage. It is powered by a 4310mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
On the camera side, the main camera with a resolution of 50 Megapixels is accompanied by a depth camera with a resolution of 2 Megapixels. On the inside, there is a front camera with a resolution of 16 Megapixels. It is also possible to use the rear camera of the folding phone for the front camera thanks to the small screen on the front. The model will come with Android 13 operating system installed.
