Excitement is building for the potential release of The Division: Heartland, as the game has received a rating in Taiwan, indicating that a release date may be on the horizon. The free-to-play third-person action shooter spin-off was officially announced by Ubisoft in May 2021 and was originally slated for release in 2021-22. However, Ubisoft has been relatively tight-lipped about the game’s release date, leaving fans waiting for more details.

A rating released in Taiwan earlier this month has fueled rumors that The Division: Heartland will be released soon. The game was awarded a PG-15 rating across various platforms, including PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One. The rating cites elements such as “violence, inappropriate language” and “anti-social” themes, adding an intriguing layer to the anticipated gaming experience.
The timing of the rating has led some to raise rumors about a potential release date. Leaker Kurakasis suggests that Taiwan usually rates a game about two to two and a half months before its scheduled release in the country. This points to the first quarter of 2024.

However, it is crucial to approach this information with caution, as the example of Silent Hill The Short Message uncovered by the same Taiwanese rating agency reminds us that such indicators may not always translate into concrete release details.
The Division: Heartland departs from the series’ previous city-based environments, immersing players in a rural small-town American setting. Described as a survival, action, PvEvP and shooter, the game features gameplay elements where players interact with both AI factions and other human players. As a Division agent, the player’s goal is to protect the town from rogue agents and the virus that threatens it.
In addition to The Division: Heartland, Ubisoft also has plans for “The Division Resurgence”, a free-to-play mobile game that will bridge the narrative gap between The Division 1 and 2, scheduled for release in 2024.
