AnTuTu, a benchmark in the technology world, has published its list of the most powerful Apple devices for August 2025. According to the report, tablets have overtaken Apple’s performance leadership. The iPhone 16 series finished last on the list.
The most powerful Apple devices have been revealed
According to data shared by AnTuTu, the iPad Pro 2024 (11-inch) took the title of most powerful Apple device. Powered by the M4 processor, this model took the top spot with a score of 2,931,776. The iPad Pro 2024 (13-inch), also featuring the M4 processor, followed closely behind. This device scored 2,917,677.
In third place on the list is the iPad Air 2025 (13-inch). This tablet, powered by the M3 processor, achieved a score of 2,395,153. The iPad Air 2025 (11-inch) came in fourth with 2,241,687 points, followed by the iPad Pro 6 (12.9-inch) with 2,227,733 points.
The rest of the list is dominated by iPad models. The iPad Pro 4 (11-inch) came in sixth with 2,165,496 points, and the iPad Air 2024 (13-inch) came in seventh with 2,156,634 points. The iPad Air 2024 (11-inch) followed with 2,074,150 points.
Apple’s new flagship phones, the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro, occupy the bottom two spots on the list. Powered by the A18 Pro processor, developed on a 3nm process, the iPhone 16 Pro Max placed ninth with a score of 1,969,187 points. The iPhone 16 Pro placed last on the list with a score of 1,954,677.
This report clearly demonstrated that Apple’s highest-performing devices are in the tablet category. The fact that iPad models ranked in the top eight positions on the list further demonstrates the power of M-series processors in mobile performance. The fact that the iPhone 16 series only ranked in the bottom two positions on the list reveals a widening performance gap between tablet and phone processors.
