Microsoft has announced its latest operating system update, Windows 11 24H2, as the most reliable and fastest Windows version to date. According to data shared by the company, this new version shows 24% fewer crashes and unexpected reboots compared to Windows 10 22H2, which is currently used by millions.
Windows 11 24H2: The Most Reliable and Fastest Windows Version
Reliability improvements aren’t limited to system stability. The 24H2 update also includes concrete innovations designed to provide users with a better experience in the event of a crash:
- Black Error Screen: The now-classic Blue Screen of Death errors have been replaced with a critical error screen with a black background, featuring a more informative and modern design.
- Enhanced System Restore: A new system restore tool has been added, making it easier to recover from crashes and providing more understandable steps.
- This reliability-focused announcement becomes even more meaningful when viewed in conjunction with market share data. As of June 2025, Windows 11, with a 47.98% market share, closely follows Windows 10, which holds 48.76%.
Microsoft’s decision to end official support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, is driving millions of users to switch. The company aims to use the superior stability offered by this new version as a key reason for users to upgrade to Windows 11.
In its official statement, Microsoft emphasized that this success is a product of teamwork:
“We are proud to announce that Windows 11 24H2 is our most reliable Windows release to date, delivering a 24% reduction in crashes due to unexpected restarts compared to Windows 10 22H2. These improvements reflect the close collaboration between our engineering, design, and user research teams, and our commitment to making Windows more reliable for everyone.”
