With dozens of games for PlayStation and PC, Final Fantasy is finally getting ready to expand to Xbox. While some Final Fantasy titles have already been released for Xbox, Square Enix reportedly wants to bring the entire series to the console.
Final Fantasy series on its way to Xbox
Jez Corden, a well-known name in the gaming industry, said that Final Fantasy games are coming to Xbox consoles very soon. These games include the recently released Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series, Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
It’s not yet clear when these games will be released on Xbox. However, it is thought that Pixel Remasters will be the first games to come to the console. Remakes are also likely to be ported to Xbox. However, Final Fantasy XVI may be delayed for Xbox as it was designed for PS5 and PC.
According to Corden, Final Fantasy VII Remake may take longer to come to Xbox. This three-game series was developed exclusively for PlayStation. So the entire collection will need to be completed. The recently released Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also still has some exclusives.
It is thought that Xbox may surprise at the Tokyo Game Show in September. Of course, Microsoft will be holding a big panel at the event. Although release dates are uncertain, it is possible to say that more than one Final Fantasy title will come to Xbox.
Final Fantasy XIV was released for the Xbox Series earlier this year and was well received by gamers. We are waiting for more announcements from Microsoft and Square Enix.
