A glimpse into Dead Island 2
The video commences with a thrilling cinematic sequence, depicting zombies wreaking havoc on a city bus and a commercial airliner as they depart from a zombie-infested Los Angeles.
Transitioning to the character selection screen, players are introduced to the six available characters, each with unique stats and abilities: the robust Jacob, critical-hitting Bruno, resilient Carla, tough Dani, reliable Ryan, and agile Amy. The player opts for Jacob, who regains consciousness amid the wreckage, extracts a metal shard from his stomach, and crawls to safety.
With the stage set, the action kicks into high gear as Jacob fends off hordes of zombies using a makeshift metal blade, a massive silver hammer, and even his bare hands. Despite his best intentions, Jacob is bitten and subsequently awakens outside a mansion. The remainder of the leaked footage showcases Jacob battling zombies both within and around the mansion.
Dead Island 2 is slated for release on April 21st for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
