Netflix’s widely beloved series, Wednesday, has returned with its second season after a long hiatus. The Tim Burton-created series, following the first season, invites viewers to a darker and more dramatic story. The first four episodes of the eight-episode season are available to watch starting August 6th. The remaining four episodes will be available on the platform on September 3rd.
Wednesday Season 2, First Episode Available
Emerging from the Addams Family universe and centered on Wednesday Addams, the series focused on the character’s life at Nevermore Academy in its first season. The second season picks up where it left off. Upon returning to the academy, Wednesday faces a new threat and an extraordinary vision.
Thanks to her clairvoyance, Wednesday foresaw the death of her best friend, Enid Sinclair, and realizes that this event was her fault. The main story of the season revolves around Wednesday’s struggle to prevent this tragedy and change the future.
The series has also expanded its cast, with prominent newcomers including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Noah Taylor, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Christopher Lloyd, and Lady Gaga joining the cast from the previous season.
Wednesday, which quickly became a global phenomenon with its first season, is adopting a different distribution strategy for its second season, releasing episodes in two parts. The first part is currently available, and the second will premiere in September.
