Technical information continues to come after the official date for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series was revealed. The first Unpacked event of 2023, where the series will be launched, will be held on February 1. Ahead of this event, Samsung started to share official promotional videos for the phones.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be introduced on February 1
In these videos, Samsung focuses specifically on the camera systems in phones. In these videos, Samsung puts the Ultra model at the center and highlights the phone’s extremely high low-light performance in one video. According to many sources, especially the Ultra model will bring a historic increase when it comes to “night mode”.
In another video, which you can watch above, the 200-megapixel camera resolution is referenced. Samsung is preparing to give much more detailed photos with 200 megapixels. The company has prepared more than one 200-megapixel sensor so far. In this respect, the company creates great expectations. However, as we always say, resolution alone does not determine photo quality.
Galaxy S23 Ultra was also on the agenda last week. This assertive model will not have the OLED display with 2,000 nits brightness that was exhibited at CES 2023. There was such an expectation before, but it seems that this advanced screen will not be used on the phone.
As reported, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use an AMOLED display with a brightness of 1,750 nits. Of course, 1,750 nits brightness is not at all less, but it is disappointing that the company will not use the latest hardware in its current flagship. In addition, information about the RAM and storage options of the series was also leaked recently:
- Samsung Galaxy S23: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 8GB RAM/512GB storage
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 12GB RAM/512GB storage, 12GB RAM/1TB storage (Samsung Store exclusive)
