Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for its Fallout adaptation. The trailer explores the post-apocalyptic world of the popular game series in great detail. So what is the Fallout series plot and when will it air?
Fallout series plot, release date, cast
The nearly three-minute trailer released on Prime Video’s YouTube channel showcases the unique features of the Fallout world. It depicts a world devastated centuries after a nuclear war and shows the remnants of an ancient civilization created by nature.
The trailer shows a group of humans emerging from an underground cellar. Exploring desolate cities in the US, the group of people have to deal with mutated creatures roaming the wasteland. In this regard, it is possible to say that the series is in line with the game series.
Many of the dark humor elements from the Fallout games are sprinkled throughout the series. In a statement, Prime Video said that they wanted to create a true adaptation with both realistic and absurd elements.
The adaptation series was created by Westworld co-producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. It stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and Michael Emerson. Chris Parnell and Harold Perrineau Jr. from Lost will also be in the cast.
Fallout will be released exclusively on Prime Video on April 12, 2024. While the comments on the first trailer are positive, it looks like the game will do the series justice.
