Some Galaxy S25 Ultra users have reported experiencing camera issues after installing the One UI 8 Beta 4 update. Specifically, photos of the Moon taken with the phone appear purple instead of the typical white or gray tones.
Moon photos taken with the Galaxy S25 Ultra appear purple
The issue is reported to occur at multiple zoom levels, including 10x, 20x, 30x, and 100x. Photos appear normal in the preview and on the camera screen, but appear purple when viewed in the Gallery app. As you may recall, this issue was not present in One UI 8 Beta 3.
As mentioned above, this issue is occurring on some Galaxy S25 Ultra models. Users who participated in the beta program and encountered the purple Moon issue tried disabling scene optimization in the camera settings, but these workarounds did not initially resolve the issue.
Samsung has not yet commented on the issue. However, some sources suggest that this issue will be resolved in a future beta update.
