The Galaxy S26 Edge will fix its predecessor’s biggest problem

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Samsung surprised users this year by introducing the slim and sleek Galaxy S25 Edge to its flagship S series lineup. While the S25 Edge packed flagship-level features, its relatively small 3,900mAh battery left some users wanting more. However, recent leaks suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Edge will address this concern with notable improvements.

According to a new leak from Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Edge will be thinner than its predecessor, measuring less than 5.8mm in thickness, while simultaneously housing a larger battery. This marks a significant upgrade aimed at improving user satisfaction without compromising on the device’s slim design.

This development is likely a response to feedback from the S25 Edge, illustrating how manufacturers often refine and optimize features in subsequent models. The increased battery capacity in the S26 Edge is expected to be achieved through the use of “new battery material technology.” Although details remain unconfirmed, this could hint at advancements such as silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery technology.

If no last-minute changes occur, Samsung’s effort to tackle the main shortcoming of the S25 Edge in its successor could set a new standard for combining thinness and battery endurance in flagship smartphones.
