Chinese leakster Ice Universe has shared a detailed list of the specifications for the Galaxy S26 series, which Samsung plans to launch in early 2026. The source compares the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra with their previous generations, suggesting that the new models will generally feature minor upgrades.

The Galaxy S26, the compact model in the series, increases its screen size from 6.2 inches to 6.3 inches, but maintains the same brightness level as the previous generation. The phone’s 128GB storage option has been discontinued, but the RAM and other storage options remain the same as the S25.

The S26’s battery capacity has increased by 300 mAh to 4300 mAh, and its thickness has decreased slightly, from 7.2 mm to 6.9 mm. The device will be available with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in the US market and the Exynos 2600 processor in the rest of the world. On the camera side, while the pixel count remains the same as last year (50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3x telephoto), two new sensors are likely to be used.

The Galaxy S26 Plus appears to have largely the same specifications as the previous-generation Galaxy S25 Plus. Both models feature a 6.7-inch QHD display (2600 nits brightness, 120Hz), 12GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB of storage, and a 4900mAh battery with 45W charging.

The S26 Plus will come with the same processor option as the S26 (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 / Exynos 2600). The camera setup is expected to feature the same triple-core setup as the S26 and two new sensors. The S26 Plus remains thin at 7.3mm, and its weight has increased from 190g to 194g.

The flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra upgrades to a new 6.9-inch M14 AMOLED panel, but its brightness (2600 nits) remains the same as the S25 Ultra. The S26 Ultra will come with 12 GB of RAM in European countries, while a 16 GB RAM option will also be available in markets like China.

The Ultra model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in most of the world. The biggest improvement is the battery capacity, which remains the same (5000 mAh), while the charging speed has been increased from 45 watts to 60 watts after many years. The device’s thickness has also been slightly reduced, from 8.2 mm to 7.9 mm.

The camera setup (200MP main HP2, 50MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3x telephoto, 50MP 5x telephoto) remains unchanged pixel-wise, but the much wider apertures of both the main and 5x telephoto cameras are expected to provide noticeable brightness increases in photos and videos.

Samsung is said to continue its tradition of unveiling the new Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. Estimates suggest the launch event will be in mid-January or early February, likely on a Wednesday based on Unpacked events in recent years.
