In a much-anticipated update for fans, the first trailer of “The Garfield Movie” has been released. Created by cartoonist Jim Davis in 1978, the iconic lazy cat Garfield, known for his disdain for Mondays and love for lasagna, is set to captivate audiences in a new animated film. Voiced by Chris Pratt, Garfield embarks on a wild outdoor adventure this time.
The globally renowned, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving, lazy, chubby, and sarcastic house cat Garfield is ready to reunite with his audience in cinemas with new adventures.
In this iteration, Garfield, voiced by Chris Pratt, faces a wild outdoor adventure. Adding to the excitement, Samuel L. Jackson voices Garfield’s disheveled street cat father, Vic, who makes an unexpected appearance. Garfield, along with his dog companion Odie, is forced to leave their perfectly pampered lives to join Vic in a comical and risky heist.
Directed by Mark Dindal, the movie’s voice cast not only features Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson but also includes Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, Harvey Guillén, and Ving Rhames.
“Garfield” is set to hit the theaters on May 24th.
