Intel’s long-rumored Battlemage-based graphics card, the Arc B770, has resurfaced in a new leak. Spotted in Linux Boot Logs with the PCI device ID “BATTLEMAGE,” the model has drawn attention due to its connection to the previously rumored canceled BMG-G31 GPU-based card. While the card’s official name has not yet been confirmed, its architecture and technical data suggest that the B770 name is largely confirmed.
Intel Battlemage B770 Arrives
The Arc B770 is being developed as a direct successor to the A770. Technical details reveal that the new model offers a significant upgrade over the Arc B580. While the B580 featured 12GB of VRAM and 20 Xe2 cores, the B770 boasts 16GB of VRAM and 32 Xe2 cores. Memory capacity suggests a 256-bit wide memory bus. This structure suggests that the card is focused on delivering high performance, particularly at 1440p resolution.
Its performance level is reportedly on par with strong competitors like the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER and Radeon RX 7900 GRE. This suggests that the Arc B770 could be positioned as a serious alternative in the mid- to upper-midrange segment.
Information suggesting that the model is being developed for both desktop systems and laptops suggests that the Battlemage architecture will not be limited to a single platform.
The leaks indicate that the card has reached a significant stage in development. However, a release date has not yet been confirmed. However, sources close to the industry indicate that Intel will unveil the Arc B770 by the end of the year, and that more comprehensive technical data will be released soon.
