Apple’s new flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max finally entered speaker tests. We can say that the results both surprised and made users think. Because, even though we think that with each new iPhone model, performance increases and everything gets better, these test results show us a different picture. Here are the results…
iPhone 16 Pro Max test results show a drop in speaker volume
According to the test results, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s speakers sound slightly lower than its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. In the bottom speaker test, the iPhone 16 Pro Max produced 103.8 decibels, compared to 105 decibels for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
It’s a similar story with the side speakers: the iPhone 16 Pro Max produces 90.8 decibels, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max produces 91.8 decibels. Although this difference may not seem big, it may be a noteworthy detail for users who value sound quality and speaker power.
Meanwhile, not only the speaker issue but also the boot speed is on the agenda. According to the tests, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s boot time is 4 seconds longer than its predecessors. While the iPhone 14 Pro Max was the fastest device in these tests, the iPhone 16’s performance was one step behind.
Based on these test results, it is certain that this new model may raise some question marks, especially for users who are obsessed with details such as speaker volume and boot time. So, how important are these small differences for you? Let us know in the comments section below.
