For a while now, WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging software, has been offering new features with every update. This time, a feature that will make iOS users happy has been introduced. Previously offered for Android users, this new feature seems to help save time. Here are the details and what you need to know…
WhatsApp now lets you watch videos faster!
With changing smartphone usage habits in recent years, users are opting to consume videos and audios faster and move on quickly. In this sense, the video acceleration feature that was previously available to Android users is now available for iOS users as well…
iOS users can now watch videos at different speed options. WhatsApp, with the new version 24.20.78, has introduced a feature that allows users to adjust the video playback speed, enabling videos to be watched at normal speed, 1.5x speed, or 2x speed.
This feature is particularly practical for users who want to consume long videos in a shorter amount of time. The speed setting can be quickly accessed through a button located next to the playback bar.
Another major innovation that came with WhatsApp’s latest update is the ‘Picture-in-picture’ (PIP) mode. With this feature, users can continue watching videos while browsing other chats or using other apps. The PIP mode allows the video screen to be resized and moved to any part of the display, offering much more flexibility.
