The four-year wait might finally come to an end. At today’s iPhone 16 launch event, not only new phones but also the Apple Watch series and new AirPods models are expected to be unveiled. Among the AirPods set to be revealed could be the second generation of the AirPods Max, which was first introduced in December 2020. Here are the anticipated features of the AirPods Max 2…
AirPods Max 2 may come with AirPods Pro features
Apple’s over-ear headphones haven’t been as successful, mainly due to their high price, which has made them less popular among users. The AirPods Max, first introduced in December 2020, might finally see a new generation. According to leaks, Apple will equip the new AirPods Max 2 model with features found in the Pro versions.
These claims were once again made by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. According to Gurman, Apple will include the AirPods Max 2 model in today’s “It’s Glowtime” event.
Rumors suggest that the second generation of AirPods Max will come with improved noise cancellation and adaptive sound features. Additionally, the new model will feature a USB-C port, keeping up with modern trends. While earlier leaks suggested that Apple hadn’t allocated time in the event for this model, recent rumors have changed expectations.
It’s still unclear whether there will be any design changes, but it’s believed that Apple may need to adjust the price. Currently, the AirPods Max is sold for $549 in the U.S. and 24,849 TL in Turkey, with many stating that the features do not justify the price. For this reason, a price reduction is expected from Apple.
