At last week’s “Glowtime” event, Apple unveiled devices and new features that will be talked about for a long time. The event, which focused on the iPhone 16, introduced many features for the new phone series. Among the standout features were the Camera Control button and more, and now Android phones that will imitate these innovations from the iPhone 16 have been revealed.
OPPO Find X8 to Borrow the Camera Control Button from iPhone 16
The OPPO Find X8 series, expected to be unveiled next month, will be one of the first phone models powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. However, when it comes to originality, brands like OPPO are not hesitant to adopt features introduced by Apple, much like we saw with Dynamic Island.
The upcoming OPPO Find X8 will also carry features from the iPhone 16. Firstly, the X8 series will offer magnetic wireless charging support, similar to Apple’s MagSafe. One of the newest features, the Camera Control button, which provides a professional camera feel on the iPhone 16, will also be present on the OPPO Find X8, making it the second Android phone to adopt this feature.
Recent leaks revealed that Realme has also been copying the iPhone 16’s camera button for some time. While the physical camera button first appeared with Sony, Apple’s move will bring it more popularity.
Additionally, it’s rumored that OPPO will bring the Dynamic Island feature to the Find X8. However, it’s unclear how well this feature will be integrated on the Find X8, as it is not expected to match Apple’s quality or execution. Android manufacturers often try to replicate Apple’s features, but it’s uncertain how well these imitations are received by users or how they compare in quality. Nevertheless, we’ll get a closer look at the Find X8 when it’s unveiled in October.
