The new Game of Thrones series has been postponed!

Ana sayfa / News

Continuing to expand the Game of Thrones universe, HBO has postponed the release date of its new series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which was planned to air this year. It was previously stated that the production, adapted from George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg stories, would meet the audience in 2025. However, HBO announced that the series was postponed to 2026 with a last-minute decision. The reason for this decision has not yet been announced.

While the HBO management did not give a clear release date for the series, they announced that the production will be on the screens next winter. This statement indicates that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will air in the first months of 2026.

With this postponement decision, no new productions belonging to the Game of Thrones universe will meet the audience in 2025. The new season of House of the Dragon will also air in 2026.

The new series takes place approximately 100 years before the original Game of Thrones story. At the center of the story are Ser Duncan the Tall, one of the legendary knights of Westeros, and his squire Egg, who will later be known as Aegon V Targaryen. The series will examine the adventures of these two throughout Westeros and the political order before the throne wars.

Peter Claffey plays Ser Duncan the Tall in the cast, while Dexter Sol Ansell plays the young Egg. The duo will be accompanied on their journey by Finn Bennett (Aerion Targaryen), Bertie Carvel (Baelor Targaryen), Tanzyn Crawford (Tanselle), Daniel Ings (Ser Lyonel Baratheon) and Sam Spruell (Maekar Targaryen).
