BMW X3 2024 fourth-generation SUV features
The vehicle is 34 mm longer, 29 mm wider, and 25 mm lower. The new BMW X3 measures 4,755 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, 1,660 mm in height, and has a 2,865 mm wheelbase. This growth makes the interior more spacious and comfortable. The trunk capacity starts at 570 liters and can go up to 1,700 liters with the rear seats folded down (for the plug-in version, these values range between 460-1,600 liters).
One of the standout features in the exterior design is the large kidney grille. This grille comes with optional Iconic Glow lighting. The new headlight group features an L-shaped light signature and integrates daytime running lights and signal lights. Matrix LED headlights and M Shadowline lights are offered as options. At the rear of the vehicle, the exhaust pipes are hidden within the bumper, except for the BMW X3 M50 xDrive model.
In the interior, the design is minimalist and modern. The BMW Curved Display includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen. The new SUV has more advanced equipment than the previous model. Features such as three-zone automatic climate control, acoustic windows, Comfort Access, automatic tailgate, and electrically foldable exterior mirrors are standard.
Additionally, BMW Live Cockpit Plus, cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system, wireless smartphone charging, four USB-C ports, and 12V sockets are available. Optionally, a BMW Head-Up Display is also offered. The new BMW X3 will only be available with Mild Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid engine options. Here are the engine options:
- BMW X3 20 xDrive: 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine, 190 HP power, 310 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, 215 km/h top speed.
- BMW X3 M50 xDrive: 3-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine, 381 HP power, 540 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, 250 km/h top speed.
- BMW X3 20d xDrive: 2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, 197 HP power, 400 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, 215 km/h top speed.
- BMW X3 30e xDrive: Plug-in Hybrid, 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine and electric motor, total 299 HP power, 450 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, 215 km/h top speed, 19.7 kWh battery capacity with 81-90 km electric range.
The BMW X3 M50 xDrive model is equipped with M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, 20-inch M alloy wheels, and M Sport differential. Optionally, M adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers is also available.
In the Plug-in Hybrid model, the battery supports AC charging up to 11 kW, allowing for fast charging. Safety equipment includes advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, and driving assistant.
