As Oppo prepares to announce the Dimensity 9500-powered Find X9 and Find X9 Pro models in China on October 16th, camera details have been leaked about the top-of-the-line Find X9 Ultra, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tech source, has shared the camera specifications of the device’s engineering prototype.
200MP Main Sensor and Dual Periscopes Coming!
According to leaked information, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to raise the bar in mobile photography. On the back of the device, it’s expected to feature a massive 200-megapixel main sensor called the Sony IMX90E, which will be released soon. This 1/1.12-inch sensor will enhance image quality by capturing more light and will be supported by a glass+plastic (GP) optical module with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
The X9 Ultra’s most striking feature is its dual 50-megapixel periscope telephoto cameras. One of these periscope cameras will reportedly be powered by the flagship Sony LYT-828 sensor, which will also be used as the primary sensor in the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro. This lens will offer approximately 3x fixed optical zoom along with OIS.
On the front, a high-resolution 50-megapixel front camera is rumored. While the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to launch in Q2 2026, its hardware is already expected to be top-tier.
The Find X9 and X9 Pro will feature the Dimensity 9500 chip, while the Ultra version will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Ultra model is said to have a larger 6.8-inch flat OLED LTPO 2K 120Hz display compared to the Pro model’s 6.78-inch display. Considering the Find X9 Pro will pack a 7,500mAh battery, the Ultra model is expected to have the same or slightly larger capacity.
