The Outer Worlds 2 Is Ready for Your Chaotic Side

Ana sayfa / News

If The Outer Worlds 2 is about anything, it’s about freedom. And fun. The latest demo shown at gamescom offered an unhinged tour of the wild decisions players can make, from stealth tactics to hacking death traps and looting sacred tombs.

Set on the planet Praetor, the demo followed a break-in at the Tomb of the Matriarch. The goal? Find a hidden passage into a locked-down Protectorate facility. But getting there was anything but simple. Companions Niles and Tristan added firepower and moral flavor, while the player character leaned into stealth, tech, and sharp Observation skills.

Project Bloomwalker Is a Beautiful Survival Game That Wants You to Heal, Not Harm

Project Bloomwalker is a heartfelt crafting adventure about healing a poisoned world with the help of Oddlings and your mobile house.

The character was armed with a silenced revolver, a plasma sniper, and an assault rifle with a Reflex mod. Add a Scrutinizer’s Eyepiece and some juicy perks like extra grenade slots, and you’re ready for nearly anything.

Meanwhile, the companions weren’t just for flavor. Niles could be built for ranged damage or tanking, while Tristan brought melee skills and a connection to the Protectorate’s messy ideals.

At one point, the team slipped past guards using tall grass for cover. A few plasma grenades later, the enemies were ash. But the real joy came inside the tomb-museum, where the team hacked a panel to accidentally roast a docent via laser grid.

Exploration rewards included:

Every room felt like an invitation to try something weird. Hack this. Rewire that. Steal something shiny just to see what happens. And Obsidian made sure most ideas, no matter how ridiculous, had a way to work.

In just 20 minutes, we electrocuted guards, caused mechanical mayhem, and swiped sacred items. If that was just one quest, imagine what else the galaxy’s hiding. Whatever it is, The Outer Worlds 2 seems happy to let us break it.
