Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its Watch 2 Pro model in the wearable technology sector, in addition to its smartphones. The smartwatch, previously identified in the IMEI database under the model number M2233W1, has had its unknown technical specifications revealed, and now its launch date has been confirmed.
Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro release date
Xiaomi announced via a Twitter post that the Watch 2 Pro will be released globally on September 26th. The smartwatch is likely to be introduced during an event in Berlin, possibly alongside the Xiaomi 13T series. Besides confirming that the smartwatch will be supported by Wear OS, the Chinese company has not disclosed any other features.
According to a recent report from the well-known industry leaker Arsène Lupin, the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro will come with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It will be powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor.
The smartwatch is expected to feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a pixel density of 326 ppi. It will be equipped with a 500 mAh battery that can provide up to 72 hours of usage on a single charge. Additionally, there will be Bluetooth and 4G LTE versions of the watch available.
The watch will have an Always on Display feature for its screen and offer users a variety of watch face options. Other features include body composition analysis, sleep tracking, SpO2 monitoring, and various sports modes commonly found in Xiaomi smartwatches.
A recent leak reported by MySmartPrice also provides a glimpse of the design of the upcoming Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro model. According to the leaked images, Xiaomi has opted for a circular design, in contrast to the square design seen in the Xiaomi Watch 2. Furthermore, the new smartwatch will be available in at least two color options: Silver and Black.
