The countdown has officially begun for Xiaomi’s 14 series, set to be released on October 26. Several leaks have provided insight into these smartphones, leaving fewer questions about the user experience. Most recently, these smartphones were spotted in performance tests. So, what kind of performance can we expect from the Xiaomi 14 series?

Xiaomi 14 series appeared in Geekbench database

The upcoming Xiaomi 14 series was discovered in the Geekbench database with model numbers 23127PN0CC and 23116PN5BC. The standard model in the series scored 1,698 in single-core tests and 6,260 in multi-core tests. The Pro model, on the other hand, scored 2,150 in single-core tests and 6,892 in multi-core tests.

The processor powering these smartphones is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which will be officially introduced soon. This chipset features a 1+5+2 core cluster configuration, including 2 x 2.27 GHz, 5 x 2.96 GHz, and 1 x 3.19 GHz cores, along with an Adreno 750 graphics unit.

A new report shared by 91mobiles and OnLeaks provides a clear look at the design of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro. It features a quad-camera setup on the back and a hole-punch display design on the front. The display is reported to have a flat design.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to have dimensions of 161.6 x 75.3 x 8.7 mm. Considering that its predecessor had the same dimensions, it appears that the new model may be slightly smaller and thicker.

Based on past leaks, the smartphone is likely to come with a 6.7-inch Micro Quad Curved C8 panel supporting dynamic 1-120 Hz LTPO refresh rates and a 2K resolution. The device will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and offer a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, along with features like HDR 10+.

The primary camera is expected to feature a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS support. Additionally, it will have two 50-megapixel ultra-wide and telephoto macro sensors. Lastly, it’s anticipated to feature up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 4,860mAh battery with 120W fast charging capabilities.
