While debates continue even for foods like frozen chicken and potatoes, which gained popularity with the emergence of fast food chains, there are various opinions regarding artificial foods. One group argues that artificial foods developed in laboratory environments and produced through natural methods should be consumed. Another group considers it a complete nonsense and claims that such absurdities can harm human health.

One of the most interesting decisions regarding this issue was actually made by Singapore, becoming the first country to allow the sale of artificial meat worldwide. And recently, a decision came from the US on this matter. According to the decision taken by the authorized institutions in the United States, companies named Upside Foods and Good Meat were granted permission for the production and sale of artificial meat.

Initially, these meats will be provided to consumers through restaurants. Many restaurants have already placed their orders, and the companies may have started production to meet these needs. So, how is artificial chicken meat produced? Does it contain real chicken meat?

How is artificial chicken meat produced?

In fact, real animals are both used and not used in this process. It should be noted that it is a somewhat complex process. Moreover, contrary to popular belief, artificial meat production is not cheap; it is even more expensive. If the technology advances and if the artificial meat industry starts to gain acceptance, production costs may decrease.

However, considering that some companies may compromise their production quality and hygiene to reduce costs in the food industry, it may not be a healthy idea. In short, artificial meat has the potential to pose serious threats to human health, so it is necessary to develop a robust control mechanism.

As for how artificial meat production works, it is done using cells taken from real animals. The harvested tissue cells are multiplied in a laboratory environment, resulting in the formation of meat tissues. Chicken breast is perhaps one of the most commonly used meats in Turkish cuisine. To produce it artificially, a small piece of tissue is taken from the chicken breast, and the cells in this tissue are multiplied. Subsequently, artificial chicken meat is produced.
