Remi Lucidi dies, police launch investigation
Remi Lucidi, also known as Remi Enigma on social media, was famous for climbing high structures and performing acrobatics, which gained him a substantial following on his social media accounts. However, last week, it was reported that he fell from the 68th floor of a building in Hong Kong and lost his life.
According to reports from the Independent and Sky News, his body was found on the balcony of an apartment in the Mid-Levels area of the city. It was noted that his body had a French ID card and a camera with him.
While it was confirmed that Lucidi lost his life at the scene, the police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Various claims and speculations have arisen about the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Some allege that the influencer said he was going to visit a friend on the 40th floor of the skyscraper and entered the building accordingly. However, camera footage shows that he took the elevator up to the 49th floor and then used the stairs to reach the topmost floor.
Furthermore, it is said that Lucidi knocked on the window of an apartment on the 68th floor, but the maid inside was scared and did not let him in. Shortly after this, the building’s security called the police to report a gas leak, and when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered Lucidi’s lifeless body. A detailed investigation revealed that he hit a gas pipe during his fall, causing a leak.
While the Hong Kong police have considered the possibility of suicide, they confirmed that no suicide note was found on his body. Finally, according to a source who spoke to the South China Morning Post, the influencer got trapped on the building’s roof while performing acrobatics and knocked on the window of the 68th-floor apartment seeking help. However, when he didn’t receive the assistance he needed, he tragically fell from a height.
