The Sims is finally coming to the big screen. Electronic Arts (EA) and Amazon MGM Studios have announced a new deal to bring the movie version of the beloved game series to life. So what will the new The Sims movie be like?

The film is written and directed by Briony Redman and Kate Heron, who previously worked together on Doctor Who. Heron also directed Disney+’s Marvel series Loki.
The Sims movie is produced by LuckyChap Entertainment, owned by Margot Robbie. LuckyChap is currently working on a Monopoly movie with Hasbro and Lionsgate. The involvement of this company in the movie makes us think that Margot Robbie may be in the lead role of The Sims.
In a statement, EA said that The Sims, with its dynamics such as creating virtual characters and building a family, is well suited to be adapted into a movie. No information about the plot and cast of the movie has been shared yet.
Since its launch in 2000, The Sims series has continued to attract millions of players. The series has stood out as a simulation classic that pushes the boundaries of creativity and offers players a unique experience.
The Sims movie includes a collaboration in which EA will also contribute. EA will be involved in the creative and production process, but it is not yet clear exactly how much authority they will have.
