Star Trek movie to be released in 2025 will revive the old story
Paramount stated that the development of Star Trek 4 is continuing. On the other hand, the studio said that they will also start a new production called “Star Trek Origin Story”. The movie will reportedly be directed by Toby Haynes and produced by J.J. Abrams.
According to the details shared, it will deal with the story before Star Trek, which was released in 2009. This means that the new movie could tell the story of Starfleet and Federation in the mid-22nd century. However, details about the plot of the movie are unclear.
Paramount had shelved the Star Trek movie franchise for nearly a decade without a new project. Star Trek Beyond, the last installment of the beloved space adventure, was released in 2016. While Star Trek 4 will continue the story of this production, the newly announced production will revive the old stories.
