Netflix has released an action-packed trailer for the Terminator anime. Terminator: Zero, the animated series promises to bring the iconic Terminator action and excitement to the anime world. So when will the new Netflix production be released?
Terminator: Zero when will be released?
Terminator: Zero trailer centers on Malcolm Lee, a scientist developing an artificial intelligence system to rival Skynet. As in every Terminator story, Lee and his three children soon find themselves hunted by an unknown robot.
The new ainme seems to stick to the familiar dystopian-cyberpunk aesthetic of the Terminator series. Android robots with half of their faces missing, a nuclear-disrupted world, and a tense chase seem to be at the forefront throughout the anime.
Interesting new touches include a T-800 model Terminator wearing winter clothes like a parka. There is also a smaller rescue robot wearing a yellow raincoat. The trailer gives the message that the animated series can take the story in unexpected directions.
According to Netflix, the first season will consist of eight episodes. The story will begin with the soldier from the future traveling to 1997.
Terminator: Zero will be released on Netflix on August 29th. This date is a reference to the date known as Doomsday in Terminator 2. With its top-notch voice cast and interesting artwork, it looks like it will be a big hit.
