Image is an important element, and brands often refresh their appearance by changing their logos at regular intervals to keep up with the times. Regardless of the industry, such innovations usually yield successful results and serve as a great source of inspiration for other companies. A technology company that produces various products, mainly smartphones, recently decided to change its logo.
OPPO decided to change the logo
OPPO quietly made a logo change not long ago. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer bid farewell to its iconic green-background logo and started using a more minimalist approach with a black background, in line with current standards.
Users noticed this change on OPPO’s Chinese website, and shortly after, the company confirmed it through an announcement on its official TikTok account. The company stated that the logo change aims to shape a more sophisticated and contemporary brand image while assuring that the green color will still remain an essential part of the brand.
The logo change is not limited to the website alone, as some users report seeing the new logo in physical stores as well. This suggests that the change is being implemented comprehensively and gradually.
It’s worth mentioning a significant detail here. The green-background logo had not been a prominent visual element in the company’s marketing strategy for quite some time. For instance, the box of Reno10 Pro’s purple variant featured purple Oppo letters, whereas the box of Find X6 Pro displayed a silver-colored logo.
