The world’s top 100 defense industry companies have been revealed! Which is Turkey’s largest?
As it does every year, Defense News Top 100 has announced the largest defense and aerospace companies based on the previous year’s financial data and reports. This year, five Turkish companies made it to the list, which includes 100 companies from around the world.
Among Turkey’s largest defense and aerospace companies, Aselsan, Roketsan, TUSAŞ, and Asfat have entered the list. The surprise name this year was MKE (Machinery and Chemical Industry) Inc. Making its debut on the list, MKE achieved a successful result for its first year, ranking 84th.
Aselsan, which was ranked 47th last year, moved up five places to take the 42nd position this year. Turkish company TUSAŞ followed, advancing eight places to secure the 50th spot. Roketsan came in at 71st, MKE at 84th, and ASFAT at 94th.
As you might have guessed, the world’s largest defense and aerospace company was Lockheed Martin. The producer of the F-16, F-22, and F-35 secured the top spot with a revenue of $64 billion in 2023.
