Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi 16, boasts a top-tier screen-to-body ratio, according to leaked images. According to a new leak, the device’s “Liquid Glass” design features the thinnest bezels and most rounded corners in smartphone history. This design pushes Xiaomi’s new device in a softer, aesthetically pleasing direction. Here are the details.
The Xiaomi 16 will be thinner and rounder
Both companies are focusing on improving the display experience. Xiaomi is striving to realize the dream of a nearly bezel-less display, while Samsung is gradually moving away from the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s iconic angular design. Thanks to rounded corners, a smaller punch-hole camera, and LIPO technology, the device boasts incredibly thin bezels.
The leak also details the Galaxy S26 Ultra, stating that while the new device will have more rounded corners compared to the S25 Ultra, it won’t be as dramatically changed as the Xiaomi 16. Despite its thinner bezels, it won’t offer as sharp a refinement as the Xiaomi model.
These leaks suggest that the transition from 2025 to 2026 will be a truly competitive stage in smartphone design. As Xiaomi and Samsung shape their flagship models with distinct design languages, they will also shape user expectations.
