As Apple launches the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series, it has made a significant change to its sales strategy for the previous iPhone 16. The company updated its website and quietly removed the 256GB and 512GB storage options for the iPhone 16.

The standard iPhone 16 is now available only in a 128GB version. This change is pushing consumers towards the higher storage capacity of the iPhone 16 Plus or the new iPhone 17 models.

Apple, which launched the iPhone 17 with prices starting at 77,999 TL, continues to sell the 128GB iPhone 16 model for 65,999 TL. This decision is reportedly made to maintain a price balance between the different storage options.

The 256GB version of the iPhone 16 Plus starts at 82,999 TL, while the 256GB version of the iPhone 17 starts at 77,999 TL. This pricing makes the iPhone 17 even more attractive.

Apple’s strategy is explained as a bid to boost demand for the iPhone 17. The company is simplifying the storage options in the iPhone 16 series to highlight its new flagship model. There are also rumors that this decision may be due to operational reasons, such as stock issues. However, rather than replenishing stock, Apple has opted to remove the options entirely.
