Samsung is preparing to release the last major Android update for its entry-level Galaxy A14 and A14 5G models. Both devices, which were released with Android 13 in 2023, will have kept their promise of two major updates. Users will receive the Android 15-based One UI 7 version this year.
Samsung Galaxy A14 series to receive its last major update
The Galaxy A14 and A14 5G previously received Android 14 in accordance with Samsung’s update policy. These devices will now receive the Android 15 update along with One UI 7. No new Android version will be offered after the update. This means that the A14 series will be removed from the major system update cycle as of 2025.
Despite ending support for the operating system, Samsung will continue to provide security updates for a while longer. The Galaxy A14 and A14 5G models will continue to receive security patches for two years. After this period, the devices will be completely discontinued.
It is known that Samsung follows a certain update policy in the Galaxy A series. The two major Android version update commitments given for the A14 series will be completed with Android 15. In this context, the Android 15 that users will receive will be recorded as the last major update that the devices receive.
