Elon Musk recently cancelled his long-standing Twitter purchase and was sued over it. It was previously stated that the first trial for the case between Twitter and Elon Musk would be held in October.

The trial date will be October 17

The trial between Twitter and Elon Musk will begin on October 17. Musk and his team had previously requested that the case be postponed to 2023, but this was not accepted, so the process could not be delayed any longer. The trial did not reverse its decision at the last stage.

A five-day trial is reportedly scheduled for October 17, with both sides trial in detail. Judge Kathaleen McCormick has issued an official schedule, with the test taking place from October 17th until October 21st.

What happen between Elon Musk and Twitter?

Elon Musk bought the Twitter platform on paper for $44 billion in the past months and has adjusted the money for it, but the sale has not been formalised. Usually, this was expected towards the end of the year. However, in a surprise announcement last month, Musk announced that the Twitter deal was temporarily suspended, awaiting confirmation whether spam/fake accounts represent less than 5 percent of users. This verification has not come fully.

On top of that, the Twitter side stated that they would take some legal steps to make the sale over $44 billion, and it turned out that they agreed with the company “Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP” for this. Making a statement on this subject, the company said that they found Musk’s withdrawal from the deal “invalid and wrong”. Musk, who harmed Twitter in many ways with these moves, is officially sued for abandoning his decision.
