Ana sayfa /

Germany continues to make a name for itself in 3D construction. Most recently, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, a sustainable and affordable housing complex was built using 3D printing technology. Completed in the city of Lünen, the project consists of six apartments financed with public funds and the building was built in just 118 hours. Here are the details…

The residential complex consists of three two-bedroom apartments of 60 square meters and three three-bedroom apartments of 80 square meters. In total, 420 square meters of space has been designed at low cost and in accordance with the principles of environmental sustainability. The apartments will be offered at a rental price of only 6 euros per square meter. And with eco-friendly technologies such as solar panels, energy storage systems and central heating.

The concrete used is 100% recyclable and has low carbon emissions. Compared to traditional methods, the project avoided 143 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. So what are the advantages of 3D printing? In fact, 3D printing technology has significant advantages over traditional construction methods:

Construction of massive building completed in 140 hours! 3D printing era in construction industry

Europe's largest building constructed using 3D printing technology, The Wave House Data Center, was completed in just 140 hours.

Moreover, the 3D printing technology used in the project is interesting for its flexibility and accuracy. Jan Hische, CEO of the Lünen Housing Cooperative, said that this project offers a modern solution to the need for social housing and will be an inspiration for future projects:

“Building an apartment building using 3D concrete printing in combination with public housing subsidies has been an exciting and challenging process for us as a housing cooperative. The great response from the industry shows the importance of this innovative project. My special thanks to all the participants whose commitment made the successful completion possible and to the Ministry for its support. I am happy to be able to hand over the apartments to their future residents.”
