The vivo X Fold 3 foldable model is expected to be officially unveiled at the end of this month. All technical specifications of the device, which has been on the agenda with leaks for a while, have come to light. According to information from China, X Fold 3 aims to be the thinnest and lightest foldable screen phone on the market.

X Fold 3 will have a 6.53-inch external display with a resolution of 2748 x 1172 and LTPO technology. This screen will be protected by crystal-ceramic glass. When the device is opened, an 8.03-inch internal display with 2480 x 2200 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate will be revealed. This flexible AMOLED panel will support brightness up to 3000 nits.
The leak revealed that the vivo X Fold 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, details on RAM and storage options are still unclear. It will also likely be powered by a 5700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
On the camera front, there is a 32 Megapixel selfie camera on both screens. The triple rear camera system will have a 50 Megapixel main, 50 Megapixel ultra-wide and 50 Megapixel telephoto lens with 40x digital zoom.
With a weight of 220-230 grams, it wants to be the thinnest foldable device on the market. Currently, this title belongs to Honor Magic V2 with a weight of 231 grams. In software, it will come with Funtouch OS based on Android 13. However, vivo is expected to provide Android updates for four years.
The X Fold 3 series is expected to be introduced later this month, along with the vivo Pad 3 Pro tablet. With its premium features and innovative foldable design, the X Fold 3 has the potential to be one of the most compelling foldable phones ever.
