The world of electric cars has been making great progress in recent years. So much so that while many companies compete for the top ranks in the competition in the sector, new names are also working hard to make a name for themselves. A new car prepared in partnership with Geely and Baidu was introduced in China.
Jiyue 07 received the iF Design Award 2023 and Red Dot 2023 award
Geely and Baidu officially unveiled the Jiyue 07 electric car in China. The design of the model is quite remarkable. The car received the iF Design Award 2023 and was the Red Dot 2023 automobile design winner. The car is based on Geely’s SEA architecture and incorporates autonomous driving technology from Baidu.
On the feature side, the Jiyue 07 is based on the Jidu Robo-02 concept. It is a mid-sized liftback with a wide wheel design and a low beltline. The vehicle, which has five-spoke wheels with aerodynamic covers, takes the stage with a wide panoramic roof.
The powertrain is similar to the previous model of the series, the Jiyue 01 SUV. The standard version features a single 200 kW e-motor and a 71.4 kWh LFP battery. In addition, the car offers a 4WD specification of 400 kW and a 100 kWh NMC package.
The model’s autonomous driving system is based on cameras and radars. It should be noted that modern LiDAR sensors are not included in the car’s equipment. Finally, the model will start to be sold in China towards the middle of 2024. There is no information about the global market yet.
