WhatsApp continues to work on new features to enhance the user experience. Generally, the platform conducts beta tests with a select number of users before officially releasing a feature. Of course, since beta versions are focused on testing, encountering various bugs is quite natural. Recently, a new example of this occurred.
Green Screen Bug Prevents Use of WhatsApp Beta Version
In the 2.24.24.5 beta version of WhatsApp, a green screen bug was discovered that completely blocks usage of the app. Many users participating in the tests reported that when entering a chat, the screen would be covered with a green block, rendering the platform unusable.
According to recent information, not all beta users are affected by this issue; only a specific group experiences it. It’s noted that affected users can resolve the issue by either reverting to an older version or uninstalling the beta and installing the stable version.
Not limited to WhatsApp, downloading beta versions to test new features before anyone else has become quite popular today. However, since these versions are not stable, you may encounter issues like those mentioned above that negatively affect user experience. Stable versions are largely free from such bugs, making them a healthier choice.
What do you think about this topic? Do you use these kinds of beta versions, or do you prefer to wait for stable releases? Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section.
