The countdown for Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy A36 has officially begun. The model is expected to target the mid-range segment with impressive features while maintaining an affordable price point. Recent developments suggest that the smartphone will surpass the Galaxy S25 in at least one feature.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A36 has been spotted in the IECEE database. The listing reveals that the smartphone will support 45W fast charging. This development positions the Galaxy A36 ahead of the standard Galaxy S25, which only supports 25W wired charging.

The device, identified by its model number SM-A366U, was recently featured in the Geekbench database. In benchmark tests, the smartphone scored 967 points in single-core performance and 2,750 points in multi-core performance. This provides insight into some of its key specifications.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A36 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It will feature 6 GB of RAM and run Android 15 out of the box. It’s also worth noting that there could be other memory options available.

The Galaxy A36 is expected to carry a 50 MP main camera, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A35, which launched in March. However, the most notable change seems to be in the selfie camera. The new model is rumored to replace the 13 MP front camera of its predecessor with a 12 MP sensor. While this might initially appear as a downgrade, sources suggest the newer sensor will deliver a better selfie experience. Additionally, the phone is expected to feature an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro sensor.
