One of the biggest companies in the gaming world released an unexpected game on Steam. Doronko Wanko by Bandai Namco made a big splash on Steam with a score of 10/10. So why is this simple game where you play as a dog being talked about so much?
Why is everyone talking about Doronko Wanko on Steam?
Bandai Namco has quietly taken over the charts with a free game called Doronko Wanko. In the game, you control a Pomeranian dog and try to create as much chaos as possible.
Doronko Wanko lets players roll their puppies through mud puddles and shake them around the house, making mud everywhere. It’s also possible to further disperse the mud with the help of various items such as fans.
Despite its simple gameplay, the game has been a huge hit on Steam since its release on March 26th. It currently has more than 700 ratings, with a “Mostly Positive” rating.
The game was developed by Gyaar Studio, a subsidiary of Bandai Namco. This once again shows how important it is for independent developers to create both smaller and low-budget projects.
