Why is everyone buying Smite 2 on Steam?
Developed by Hi-Rez Studios, Smite 2 has topped the charts on Steam even before its release. The MOBA series, which first appeared in 2014, is set to be renewed in 2024. The new game has topped Steam’s bestseller list.
Smite 2 was recently released on Steam with prices ranging from 18 to 60 dollars. Founders, Deluxe and Ultimate Founders editions attracted a lot of attention. These packages include in-game bonuses and rewards, as well as the opportunity to participate in closed tests.
Smite 2 is currently not playable, despite being on sale. The new MOBA game is not expected to launch until mid-2024. However, since its release, Founders Edition bundles have risen to #1 on the Steam bestseller list.
Founders Edition bundles are also available for purchase on the Epic Games Store, Xbox and PlayStation stores. Players who own these editions will have access to the first closed alpha test, which is scheduled to start in May.
Other players are expected to join the alpha tests via social media announcements. But the sales are remarkable for a game that will take years to fully launch.
Smite has reached more than 40 million players since its launch in 2014. Smite 2 was developed from scratch with Unreal Engine 5.
