For years, the gaming world has been trying to port PlayStation games to PC through various emulators. While Sony has officially brought many titles to PC, some titles remain PlayStation exclusives. One of these titles, Bloodborne, has been ported to PC with a new emulator.
Bloodborne is coming to PC with shadPS4
Developed as a PlayStation 4 emulator, shadPS4 was recently used for Bloodborne. FromSoftware’s beloved production can be played on Windows computers thanks to this tool.
A video posted to the shadPS4 Discord server shows Bloodborne booting up and running on the emulator at a stable frame rate of 30 FPS. While there are some noticeable graphical issues and stuttering, it’s safe to say that the game runs on PC.
shadPS4 has grown rapidly in recent months. It has previously shown that it can run PlayStation exclusive games like Red Dead Redemption. Now we see shadPS4 being used for Bloodborne. The developer team said they want to bring all Sony games to Windows.
If developments continue at this pace, PS4-exclusive games are expected to be playable on PC via emulator by the end of this year. However, the shadPS4 team stated that the build shown is still not playable and there is still work to be done on graphics.
FromSoftware has said that it would be happy to open Bloodborne to a new audience. However, the decision to officially bring the game to PC remains up to Sony.
